為什麼是蜜蜂？
共有八種蜜蜂被列入瀕危物種名單，主要由於棲息地減少、物種入侵，以及自然災害。世界上近 40% 的昆蟲物種目前也正在減少。然而，雖然並非世界上每隻蜜蜂都屬於 “瀕危”，但都正在面對數量下降的威脅。
蜜蜂對世界的重要性？
蜜蜂是世界上最重要的花粉傳播者之一。為人類的糧食供應作出了重大貢獻。

香港蜜蜂的情況
我們使用我們的 “蜜蜂指數” 做出衡量。最佳 “蜂箱指數”（蜂箱/平方公里）應大於3。現在香港的指數在0.002左右，是巴黎的0.02%，東京的2.19%。我們需要在香港放置超過 1000 多個蜂箱，才能達到生物多樣性平衡，這意味著 18 區，平均每一區需要設立92 個蜂箱。

- 就蜜蜂對生物多樣性和我們的生態系統的重要性進行教育
- 讓孩子有機會親近大自然
香港蜜蜂大使
為了讓下一代參與養蜂業，我們為大學生設立了香港蜜蜂大使計劃。學生有機會親身體驗處理蜜蜂並參與蜂箱的保養。
